About the Artwork -
"Whispers Beneath the Mountain"
The strength of Country, the ancestral voices carried through Tomaree Head, and the timeless connection between people and land.
This artwork, created by Ally Clancy, a proud Wiradjuri woman who grew up in Salt Ash, Port Stephens, reflects the beauty and spirit of Worimi Country. The black dolphin, the main totem of the Worimi people, symbolises connection to the ocean, while the surrounding circles and pathways represent gatherings, songlines, and the flow of culture across land and sea. Through traditional Aboriginal symbolism expressed in a contemporary style, the piece celebrates community, continuity, and the living presence of Worimi Country.
